THE THRILLBILLIES

Here are a couple of characters who have discovered a new thrill. "What is that thang?" "Reckon I don't rightly know... LET'S RIDE IT!"

This piece was from an old concept I never finished. I was inspired to complete it after seeing the great art here on CG Society. I re-drew it and rendered it with Photoshop and Painter. Like all the piece in my CG portfolio it was done strictly for fun and from my head. It was fun to paint. I hope you enjoy it.

Thanks for looking in. Ya'll come back now ya hear! LOL

I started from a line drawing, rendered in all the tones in gray scale and then applied the color lastly. I have hundreds of little characters like this guy just waiting to be rendered.

This image is part 2 of a three step personal project. Here's the idea.... take a piece and create it in 3 different medium. I started with a drawing in ball point pen on paper from when I was 15 years old. I recently re-did it (this version) in Photoshop making it as horrible as possible. My third version will be in Zbrush which I have been learning. Hope you enjoy it!

Can you draw Snoopy?" Even then I refused as I felt I should be creating my own characters. Well, I have finally given in to those naive thoughts. Here is a tribute to an icon with my own spin. Interpretive fine art all from my head.

I scanned it in and used it as an underlay and a new piece emerged. I've contemplated the validity of art that is "recycled" in this way. Is that cool? When is anything ever "done"?
